Junior, Mahlan Dircksen competed in Trine's Innovation Challenge amongst other area high schoolers, Wednesday February 7th. He pitched his Drone Photography & Videography business idea and had a strong presentation in a competitive showcase. We are very proud of Mahlan for representing Garrett High School!

This Saturday the GMS and GHS Choirs will be singing at their annual Christmas Caroling sing-a-long in front of Garrett City Hall! Come sing along and get in the holiday spirit this Saturday from 4:30PM-5:00PM.

This weekend is the Garrett Bands' Holiday Bazaar! Its a wonderful opportunity to support local with proceeds benefiting the band.

The GHS Spell Team competed at the Area Spell meet at Homestead HS. The team received 2nd place at the area meet!
We had Jack Faylor also receive the “Near Perfect Speller” ribbon for spelling 8 of 9 words correctly. Also, Alex Smith and Quinton Ross spelled 7 of 9 words correctly that night! The students studied a word list of over 2,200 words.

Today, CTE students learned about a local non-profit by visiting Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. BPAS gives displaced, captive-raised exotic animals a place to live out the rest of their lives. Thanks BPAS for a great visit! #CarrytheG


The YMCA of DeKalb County will be hosting a Healthy Halloween on October 24th! There will be prizes, activities, and healthy treats provided. Dont miss this free event!
