rollo

Rollo is a 1 year old Golden Retriever that comes from Golden Retriever Rescue Resource, Inc. based out of Waterville, Ohio. Rollo had previously been a household pet that was surrendered to the rescue after the prior owner was not able to provide adequate care. After thorough testing, Rollo was deemed to be in good health and a good candidate to join the Sheriff’s Office K9 program.

Not only will Rollo be a law enforcement K9, he will be a Garrett Railroader. Rollo will be partnered with Garrett Keyser Butler Community School's Resource Officer, Zachary Kerley. Deputy Kerley and Rollo will attend K9 training beginning in June where Rollo will be trained in narcotics detection, munitions detections, and tracking. When not in “work mode”, Rollo will enjoy hugs and love from students and staff when patrolling the hallways.

To help give Rollo a big Railroader welcome, his name was selected by students earning 36.6 percent of the vote. Please join us in welcoming K9 Rollo to the community!
