Garrett-Keyser-Butler CSD has welcomed a new SRO for this upcoming school year! Welcome Deputy Kerley!
Deputy Kerley began his police career in November of 2018 starting in confinement at Allen County Jail. He was sworn in on June 23, 2020 as a Deputy with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. He has now been employed with the Sheriff's Office for three years. Deputy Kerley has always wanted to be a police office and help people. Being a helping hand to many people has always been his goal. Deputy Kerley looks forward to building relationships with the students and staff here at GKB. He can't wait to show them that police officers are people and that they can still have fun!
A fun fact about Deputy Kerley is that he lived in Singapore for four years as a child!
