
FAIR PERFORMANCE UPDATE:
We have been watching the weather closely and there is a significant enough chance of rain and thunderstorms during our performance window. WE WILL BE MOVING OUR PERFORMANCES TONIGHT TO THE GARRETT PAC THIS EVENING! DOOR #10 will be open at 6:00p.m. for families to enter.
Upon arrival, students should meet in Ms. Gomes' music classroom for attendance and warm-ups. This room is located beside the PAC. Parents may enter the PAC to find seats.
When each performing choir is done, students will be dismissed to parents directly from the stage to the audience.
GMS Choir students should BE in Ms. Gomes' room by 6:15p.m.
Below is tonight's performance schedule:
*6:30-6:45. GMS Choir
*6:45-7:00. Garrett HS Ovation Singers Concert Choir
*7:00-7:15. Garrett HS Encore! Show Choir
Everyone is encouraged to watch all performing groups tonight. Students will receive class extra credit for staying to watch the other choirs. The event will conclude by 7:30p.m.

With the first day of school being tomorrow, our buses will be on their routes to pick up and drop off students. When you see a bus on the road please remember:
🟡 Flashing yellow lights: The bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Motorists should slow down and be ready to stop.
🔴 Flashing red lights: The bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. Motorists MUST stop their cars and wait for children to load on or off. Once the stop arm is withdrawn, lights are off, and the bus starts moving then cars may proceed.

Garrett-Keyser-Butler Schools have switched communication services to Bright Arrow Communications. This will continue to allow your student’s school and teachers to send a telephone call, text message or email to you providing important information about school events, information or emergencies. To be able to receive text messages, you must “Opt In”.
In the event of an emergency at school, you can be assured that you will be informed immediately by phone. The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information for each student, so please make certain that we have your most current phone numbers and email addresses.
A call, text message and email will be going on Tuesday evening. If you should not be receiving these notifications or know of someone who did not receive it, contact GKBmessaging@gkb.k12.in.us.

All Garrett-Keyser-Butler School District students in grades K-11 will keep their school-issued iPad over the summer. 12th Grade students will turn in theirs before entering Senior Awards practice on Wednesday, May 22nd. If a student is moving out of district over the summer, please turn-in the school-issued device to a school building office or at the Superintendent’s Office on Warfield Street. The Technology Helpdesk will be available throughout the summer and can be reached via email at helpdesk@gkb.k12.in.us or phone at 357-4120.

Congratulations to the GMS bowlers who competed in this past weekend's middle school bowling semi-state tournament! The Garrett team consisted of Audrea Newman, Kolton Martinez, Grayson Ruckman, and Luis Corbin. They placed 15th out of 34 total teams, however, only the top 11 teams advance to the State Finals that will be held in Kokomo this coming weekend. They missed advancing by only 79 pins over 16 games total. The only individual that competed for Garrett in the singles portion of the tournament was Grayson Ruckman. He placed 11th out of 19 total for 6th grade boys. Grayson was only 38 pins away from making it to the State Finals.

Congratulations to the Middle School Bowling team! They had their Bowling Regional this past Saturday at the Auburn Bowl. The top four GMS Bowlers were Luis Corbin, Audrea Newman, Kolton Martinez, and Grayson Ruckman. They also finished in 3rd place as a team and will be advancing to the semi-state competition to be held this coming Saturday in Fort Wayne. #CarrytheG
