Wall of Fame 2026

On Saturday, February 14, Garrett Athletics will add two new members to the illustrious Wall of Fame.

This years' honorees are Lindsey (Yarde) Koble – Class of 2009 – and Zac McCray – Class of 2010.

LINDSEY (YARDE) KOBLE

Lindsey (Yarde) Koble earned 12 varsity letters at Garrett High School, graduating in 2009 with four in soccer, four in basketball and four in softball.

She was named All-Conference five times and five times All-Area from KPC (3 soccer, 2 basketball). During her career, she was part of 9 conference champion and six Sectional champion teams.

She broke GHS soccer records for career goals (63) and goals in a season (19). She also moved into second in career assists (25) as well as being named KPC Soccer Prep of the Year in 2008.

In 2008 and 2009, she was named ACAC Tournament MVP in basketball and won Regional titles in 2008 and 2009. She was named IBCA Academic All-State Honorable Mention in 2009.

On the softball field, she was a four time conference and three time Sectional champion.

McCray won eight varsity letters at Garrett High School with four in wrestling, three in football and one in track and field, graduating in 2010.

On the mats, McCray had 125 wins in his career with 350 career takedowns and 59 pins.

In 2010, as a senior, he posted a record of 44-1 including a 43 match win streak, the longest in Garrett wrestling history. He was a Semi-State champion that season and finished 3rd in the IHSAA State Finals.

McCray is a two-time Sectional and Regional champion, three time ACAC Champion, part of four ACAC team champions and was a 2008 National All-American.

The Wall of Fame remains a centerpiece of the Bateman Commons, with the greatest athletes in Garrett High School history on display for visitors, staff and students alike.

Also on February 14, the 1966 Garrett boys basketball team will be recognized between the junior varsity and varsity games. Multiple varsity and junior varsity players, as well as a cheerleading captain, will be present on the night. The 1966 Railroaders posted a 20-0 record in the regular season, led by Indiana All-Star and all-American Chuck Bavis.
